Google has announced that it is introducing generative AI to boost the relevance of Search ads by adapting them to the context of a query. Using content from landing pages and existing ads, the AI will create and adapt headlines so that they more closely align with a user’s query. As part of this, Google is introducing natural-language conversational experiences within Google Ads, which will β€œsummarize” landing pages and suggest relevant keywords, images and other assets for a campaign. Google has also launched Product Studio, which uses generative AI to create product imagery for free.

What does it mean?

  • Generative AI: a type of artificial intelligence that is capable of generating new content based on training data or input parameters.
  • Query: a request for information made to a search engine, often in the form of a keyword or phrase. Headlines: the title or heading of an article, ad, or piece of content.
  • Landing pages: the page that a person is directed to after clicking on an ad, usually designed with the specific goal of converting visitors into leads or customers.
  • Natural-language conversational experiences: voice or text-based interactions with machines that are designed to simulate human-like conversation, often using natural language processing (NLP) technology.
  • Keywords: specific words or phrases that are relevant to a given topic or content, used for indexing, search queries, and optimization purposes.
  • Assets: any digital content used in a marketing campaign, such as images, videos, and infographics.
