Snapchat is moving towards incorporating more AI technology with Dreams
August 21 2023
Snapchat is reportedly developing a “Dreams” feature, which will allow users to generate pictures of themselves in imagined scenarios by updating or uploading selfies. This move aligns with Snapchat’s expansion into generative AI, following its AI-powered chatbot, ‘My AI’. The new feature will allow users to be placed in “fantastical places and scenarios,” insisting on clear selfies for better outcomes. Additionally, Snapchat is working on a “Dreams with Friends” feature, allowing users to generate shared dream images. The discovery of “Dream Packs” suggests a potential for monetization. Snapchat has not commented on its plans for “Dreams”.
