Snapchat lens is running on ChatGPT technology

Snapchat announced at Lens Fest, its annual developer event, that it will soon launch AR lenses utilizing ChatGPT. The update, which allows the creation of filters with ChatGPT, was showcased using a solar system-themed filter that can answer user queries. Features such as quizzes and randomizers could also be created, utilizing Snap’s AI lenses powered by ChatGPT. This follows the spring update when OpenAI’s ChatGPT started to power My AI, a chatbot feature initially exclusive for Snapchat Plus subscribers but now available to all users. Additionally, the platform will introduce a new 3D face mask generator for generative AI face lenses and multi-person project cooperation capabilities.
